Pack up your cycle and roll on out to the Sierra Valley June 15 for the Tour de Manure, beginning at the Sierraville Volunteer Firehouse between 8 and 9 AM. Registration opens at 7am. You’ll enjoy miles of meadows and ranching communities on a fine summer day! Follow the headwaters of the Feather River. Bird watchers will love the hawks, yellow-headed black birds, and sand hill cranes along the trail. Everyone will appreciate the numerous cattle out in the fields, gamely watching the bikers flying by.

There are three routes: a 62 and 42 circular mile loop, and a 30 mile out-and-back route. Adult registration is $60 before June 7 and $70 after. Children’s registration is $30. Proceeds benefit the Sierraville Volunteer Fire and Rescue. You can register online or by asking for a Tour de Manure registration form at your local bike shop in Reno, Lake Tahoe, or the Sierra foothills. There are several lodging options available.

Plan to have a good time! Registrants will enjoy the after-party featuring live music and great BBQ.
